What I'm Listening To
During a recent commute in the city, I discovered the Dare to Lead with Brené Brown podcast from an advertisement on another show. While I waited on the subway platform, I decided to give it a quick listen and almost missed my train in the process. I was so intrigued by what Brené was saying that I didn’t realize the train was approaching. Her words about leadership during crisis brought up fresh memories and deeply resonated with me. Compelled to keep listening, I waited to board the train until the first episode finished downloading. The doors almost closed in my face but I made it! My fellow commuters understand the struggle of losing service while underground, especially with train delays.
Before I could finish the entire episode, I knew this was a critical resource worth sharing with my network of leaders and future leaders. In between gaps of service, I texted the link to a few friends telling them it was a must-listen podcast. Whether you already hold a leadership role or aspire to become a leader one day, this podcast is definitely worth a listen.
